Clara Rival

Clara Rival, born in Buenos Aires in 1986, began her artistic journey in 2004, studying Architecture at the University of Buenos Aires before earning a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from IUNA, specialising in drawing and painting (2008–2015). Mentored by renowned painter Luis Fernández Córdoba and guided by Silvana Lacarra’s work clinic, she refined her painting practice with a strong foundation in technique and expression. Alongside her artistic pursuits, Clara has taught art at primary and secondary schools and in private workshops, and has worked as an assistant and art director on short films and commercials. In 2017, she completed a residency at La Pozoliza in Oaxaca, leading to two well-received exhibitions in Mexico City, where she now lives and continues to develop her artistic career.
