Lori’s black-and-white murals focus on intuitive, free-spirited line work, using butterfly-like wings as a universal symbol of self-discovery, reflection, and transformation. During her 2017 residency in Graniti, Sicily, with her collective 13 Feet Off the Ground, she embraced the town’s aged, crumbling walls, incorporating exposed brick into her expressive designs rather than concealing it. Her main mural, affectionately called Farfalla by locals, depicted a butterfly whose graceful wings symbolised renewal and change. Alongside it, she created two additional pieces — one showing a delicate insect wing and another near the town playground — together leaving a vibrant mark on Graniti and celebrating the beauty of transformation through art.
